The Brewers began as the Seattle Pilots, an American League expansion team in 1969, and after just one season, papers signed April 2nd, 1970 moved them to Milwaukee on the eve of Opening Day. Hank Aaron returned in 1975 and hit his 755th and final home run here in ’76. In 1982, Harvey’s Wallbangers won the American League pennant and reached the franchise’s first World Series, and in November 1997 the club switched to the National League for the 1998 season. That ’82 pennant stood alone for forty-four years until the 2026 return against the Tampa Bay Rays, and while Milwaukee once celebrated with the Braves in 1957, the Brewers are still seeking their first title. And with Bob Uecker’s voice no longer there to call this one, it feels heavier. Fans across Wisconsin stand behind this team hoping to bring it home. Brewers, win one for Ueck.
